The ABB 6241BP10431 terminal assembly is a terminal assembly for the 6241BP10411 I/O block. Wiring from field devices terminates on the 6241BP10431 terminal assembly. The configuration data of the 6241BP10411 block is stored in the electronics assembly which can be replaced without disturbing the field wiring. The 32 circuits on the 6241BP10411 block can be configured as outputs or as inputs. The 6241BP10411 block is a 12/24 Volts DC source module which can be used with input devices including 2-wire and 3-wire electronic proximity switches and with output devices such as relays and lamps. The source I/O block provides current to field devices. When configured as an output, each circuit supports protection against short-time surges and against shorted loads caused by wiring errors.

 

The nominal operating voltage range for the 6241BP10411 block is 10 to 30 Volts DC. Because the wiring from field devices terminates on the 6241BP10431 terminal assembly, ABB recommends the use of copper wire with a 14 AWG wire size for both power wring and for wiring from field devices. Block LEDs on the 6241BP10411 block provide indications of proper block operation. LEDs for individual circuits indicate the presence of voltage on the input and output circuits. The output circuits on the block can be directly connected to the input circuits on the same I/O block without intermediate components or inverting the logic states. The recommended minimum operating temperature for the 6241BP10431 terminal assembly is 0 degrees Celsius and the recommended maximum operating temperature for the terminal assembly is 60 degrees Celsius. During storage and transportation, the ambient temperature should be between -40 and 100 degrees Celsius.
