Technical Information

The 6236BP10910 Analog Output Block is a 6-circuit current source analog output module manufactured by ABB. It comes with 6 channels for connecting to field devices and a microprocessor for intelligent processing. The 6236BP10910 Analog Output Block requires a 115 Volts AC or 125 Volts DC power supply to power up. This module provides an interface to connect devices that use 4 to 20 milliamps rated current signals. The output characteristics of the module are 4 to 20 milliamps of the output range, 25 milliseconds of the output update frequency, 6 microamps of output resolution, and 0.15% of output accuracy at 25 degrees Celsius. The module operates at a 50/60 Hertz frequency.     

 

The 6236BP10910 Analog Output Block has 2 indicator LEDs and advanced communication facilities. The enclosure of the module is made of cast aluminum. The 6 outputs of the module are numbered 1 through 6.  Outputs 5 and 6 can be used for voltage applications. It has 12 Watts of maximum heat dissipation, 2.2 megaohms of insulation resistance, and 1500 Volts of block to block isolation. The field bus controller accepts a maximum of 30 blocks and 1000 I/O depending on the application. The 6236BP10910 Analog Current Source Analog Output Module supports a handheld monitor for easy configuration and communication. Its weight is 4 pounds. It is recommended to complete the field wiring before the installation of the module. During installation, make sure to wire all the power and I/O connections to the same AC phase. Perform the cabinet grounding according to the local electrical codes.
