The 6236BP10830 Terminal Assembly is designed for the 6236B Current Source Output Block made by ABB. It comes with 6 output channels, 4 pounds of weight, 12 Watts of heat dissipation, and 32 terminals. All the field wiring of the TRIO I/O block can be done through the 6236BP10830 Terminal Assembly. Terminal 1 to Terminal 4 of the module accepts one AWG #12 or 2 AWG#14 wires and Terminals 5 to 32 accept wires within the AWG #22 to AWG #14 gauge range. Use the VOUT terminal and the RTN terminal for wiring the current outputs. The VOUT and RTN terminals are suitable for output loads which require 0 to 5 Volts of power with the jumper installed across the RTN and JMP terminals.
The 6236BP10830 Terminal Assembly acts as the wiring interface between the field devices and the I/O module. It must be permanently installed in an I/O block and it only accepts its compatible electronics assembly. If the users need to remove the terminal assembly without interrupting the whole system, the communication between the devices must be assured by crimping or soldering the bus wires together. When upgrading the terminal block assembly, the electronic assembly of the system must be renewed to the corresponding model. The 6236BP10830 Terminal Assembly is installed between the electronic assembly of the module and the field connections. The fifth terminal can be used to ground the module. The user must perform proper grounding to avoid unnecessary damage. The power supply can be connected to Terminals 6 and 7. Terminals 9 and 10 are reserved for the BSM module.
