Block 24/48Vdc Analog Current Source 6 Outputs 4-20ma
The 6236BP10810 Analog Output Block is a current source output module made by ABB. It consists of 6 source type output channels for interfacing the field devices that require 4 to 20 milliamps rated current signals. The 6236BP10810 Analog Output Block has a microprocessor that performs computational tasks and analog signal scaling. This block is suitable to install individually on junction boxes, racks, and machines. The dimensions of the module are approximately 9 x 4 x 3 inches. The users have the capability to install any combination of these modules on the I/O bus. The specifications of the power supply of this module include 18 to 56 Volts DC of power supply voltage, 600 milliamps of current, and 10 milliseconds of power supply dropout time.
The 6236BP10810 Analog Output Block has 6 independent output channels that are electrically common to each other. The output channels are also isolated from the other circuits within the module. It comes as a complete module that contains both electronics and terminal assemblies. It uses a dual 12-bit digital to analog converter to independently drive the control current. A single output circuit can drive 4 to 20 milliamps of current via 0 to 850 ohms of resistance. The block grounding must perform according to the local electrical codes. The 6236BP10810 Analog Output Block provides diagnostic facilities such as over range, under range, and feedback error diagnostics. When installing multiple modules close together, it is recommended to perform the field wiring before the installation for easy and quick connections. This module can also be used as a bus switching module that accepts 24/48 Volts of power. Terminals 9 and 10 can be used for BSM connections.
