Electronic Assembly for 6235BP10910
The 6235BP10920 Electronic Assembly is designed by ABB for the 6235B analog input modules. It has the main processing unit which performs the advanced diagnostics and communication tasks within the I/O system that it is installed in. The 6235BP10920 Electronic Assembly comes with a compact, small, and rugged design with high levels of durability and reliability. Some of the special diagnostic facilities offered by this module include low and high alarm reporting, over range and under range detection, open-wire detection, and internal fault reporting. It also powers the indicator LEDs on the module, which are the “Unit OK” and “I/O Enabled” LEDs.
The 6235BP10920 Electronic Assembly consists of a microprocessor unit that acts as the central processing unit of the entire I/O system. The maximum operating temperature of the I/O block is 60 degrees Celsius. It drives the indicator LEDs of the I/O module from its logic side. To remove the 6235BP10920 Electronic Assembly, open the swing-away door of the block and unscrew the retaining screws to pull the assembly out from the upper vent slot of the block. It is advised to test the surface of the electronic assembly before removing it from the block because the operating block can be hot to the touch. In order to ground the electronic assembly, make sure that it is properly connected to the terminal block of the system. The 6235BP10920 Electronic Assembly is a removable device that can be easily added to or removed from the I/O system without disturbing the field wiring.
