The 6233BP10820 block is an input and output block that has been designed and distributed by ABB. This specific part belongs to the ABB Trio series. This whole block is made of 2 smaller RTD blocks that are in charge of monitoring temperature changes. What differentiates the 2 RTD blocks is their power supply. Each one of the RTD input blocks comes with 6 input circuits and the inputs are divided into 3 groups of 2 circuits each. The ABB 6233BP10820 input and output block comes with different features such as alarm thresholds, RTD resistance, alpha types, and different input filter time setting features. The block is factory calibrated and it does not need further calibration.

 

The ABB 6233BP10820 input and output block is compatible with the PCIM and QBIM modules and it is used through the hand-held monitor software that is version 3.5 or higher. This block also comes with an automatic diagnostics feature that can show the cause of different installation errors. The ABB 6233BP10820 input and output block can operate in an environment with a temperature range between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius and a humidity level of 5 to 95 percent. The vibration levels that can be tolerated by the same panel or rack go from 5 to 10 Hertz. Some of the diagnostics tools that come with these blocks are internal faults, wiring errors, input shorted, and open wire diagnostics. The diagnostics features mean that all these errors can be detected and corrected in time to ensure the proper operations of the output blocks. Other errors that can be detected are over range, under range, and low or high alarm errors.
