The 6233BP10810 input block is an RTD input block that comes in the 623 and 624 series by ABB. This block comes with 6 input circuits that are arranged in 2 groups. Each one of these groups has 3 input channels. This block can provide isolation and it can be used with different RTDs, such as copper, platinum, or nickel RTDs. The main purpose of this block is to monitor temperature changes and report the data that is collected to a CPU. This data is reported in a specific way, which consists of different degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit units. It can also be reported through counts. The ABB 6233BP10810 RTD input block also supports additional configurable features that include the linearization, input filter time, and alarm threshold settings.

 

The ABB 6233BP10810 RTD input block comes with diagnostic features that pinpoint different causes of errors that can occur during operation. These errors can be internal fault detection, wiring error detection, and open wire detection, among others. Fault reporting is a function that can be enabled or disabled, depending on the users’ application needs. Enabling and disabling the fault reporting can also be done circuit by circuit. The ABB 6233BP10810 RTD input block is compatible with the PCIM and QBIM modules and it requires the hand-held monitor software that is version 3.5 or later. This block operates with a DC voltage range of 24 to 48 Volts DC and IT comes with LED indicators that show the status of the unit and the inputs. It weighs 1.8 Kilograms.
