The 6231BP10930 terminal assembly is a terminal assembly that has been designed and manufactured by ABB as one of the parts for the current-source analog I/O blocks from the Genius series by GE Fanuc Automation. This block provides 4 input circuits and 2 output circuits for different devices that operate with a current range between the 4 and 20 milliamps. This block can isolate all of the circuits and there are no further power requirements needed to perform this function properly. One of the outputs of the block is dedicated exclusively to driving a bus switching module once a current source analog block has been installed in a redundant bus cable system. The ABB 6231BP10930 terminal assembly includes additional features such as an input alarm detection feature, an output hold last state or default feature, a CPU redundancy feature, and an output feedback checking feature. These features are all user-configurable.

 

The ABB 6231BP10930 terminal assembly block is compatible with all the GE Genius bus controllers and also with the PCIM and QBIM modules. It can be managed through the hand-held monitor software that is version 3.7 or later. The ABB 6231BP10930 terminal assembly weighs 1.8 kilograms and it comes with different LEDs that indicate whether the inputs are active or not. This terminal assembly block provides all the means that are necessary for the block to be properly connected and attached to the different parts that it requires to operate properly.
