The 6230BP10830 Terminal Assembly belongs to the TRIO 6230B Analog I/O Block that is manufactured by ABB. The 6230BP10830 Terminal Assembly acts as the interface between the I/O unit and the field wiring. The standard TRIO block field bus connectors are Terminals 1 to 4 of the assembly. Terminals 6 and 7 receive the power for the module. Terminal 6 must be connected to the DC positive terminal and Terminal 7 must be connected to the DC negative terminal. Terminal 5 is a ground terminal which is connected internally to the block chassis for block safety. This module can be installed permanently in the I/O module. A complete module with a terminal assembly and electronic assembly that are already assembled can be ordered separately.                

 

The 6230BP10830 Terminal Assembly accepts wires with a gauge of AWG #14 for block power wiring and it accepts AWG #22 to AWG #14 wires for field devices. It comes with 32 easy-to-use and safe terminals. It can easily connect all the field devices to the I/O block through screw-type terminals. A hand-held monitor can be used to configure this module with the electronic assembly. This terminal assembly must be connected to its compatible electronic assembly in order to operate. It must be installed between the electronics assembly and the I/O block. If the old terminal assembly is replaced with the newest version, the electronics assembly should also be upgraded. During wiring, make sure not to over-torque the terminal screws. The 6230BP10830 Terminal Assembly provides safe and reliable connectivity to the I/O block. It must be properly grounded to avoid damages. The mechanical keying must also be considered when selecting the compatible devices for this module.
