Terminal Assembly for 6230BP10710
The 6230BP10730 Terminal Assembly belongs to the ABB TRIO family of current source analog I/O blocks. It is used to perform the field wiring of the whole I/O block. It provides screw-type terminals with durability and reliability for power connections as well as for connections for the field devices. The 6230BP10730 Terminal Assembly comes with a 0 to 60 degrees Celsius operating temperature range, a -40 to 100 degrees Celsius storage temperature range, and a 5% to 95% non-condensing ambient humidity range. This module must be permanently installed in the I/O block to provide the wiring interface between the I/O block and field devices. It is located between the electronic assembly and the I/O.
The 6230BP10730 Terminal Assembly has mechanical keying that allows it to be used only with its compatible electronics assembly. Its 32 screw-type terminals are reserved for different purposes and connections. Terminals 1 to 4 can be used as TRIO block field bus connectors. The power supply must be connected to Terminals 6 and 7. All of the field devices can be connected to Terminal 11 through 32. Terminals 1 to 4 of the module accept 1 AWG #12 gauge wire or 2 AWG #14 wires. Terminals 5 to 32 can accept AWG #14 to AWG #22 wires. The 6230BP10730 Terminal Assembly is designed to work with an ABB 6230B 115 Volts AC analog I/O block. Its frequency rating is 50 to 60 Hertz. It is advised to pre-configure the module with its compatible electronics assembly by using a handheld monitor before installing the module. This module provides the ideal solution for safe and reliable field wiring.
