Bus Terminator 75 Ohm for LAN

Technical Information

The 6202FP00150 Bus Terminator is a 75-Ohm ABB Taylor Mod 300 Bus Terminator designed for LAN. It is used to prevent signal reflection from the bus cable ends. It weighs about 2 pounds. It is a passive bus terminator that comes with a 75-Ohm resistor. It prevents the reflection on the ends of the bus cables by supplying a load that is equal to the impedance rating of the cables. This terminator module uses a resistor for impedance matching. The 6202FP00150 Bus Terminator also helps to reduce the distortion of a waveform while minimizing the reflection that can be caused at the end of the bus cables during operation. It prevents the signal from suffering from quality issues such as poor wiring and incorrect wire gauge.

The 6202FP00150 Bus Terminator is applied at the end of the cable segments or the end of the bus as the last unit in the sequence. It prevents communication line distortion which generates a variety of digital signal levels that can lead to errors in a digital system. It terminates the data path while reducing the signal reflections. It also eliminates the signal bounce by absorbing the signal. The 6202FP00150 Bus Terminator provides the users with the facilities to remove or replace the module without interrupting the bus communication. It is a modular device for quick installation. It is easy to test and measure the unit by using an ohmmeter for testing the resistance between the conductor and the connector shield to check whether the bus is properly terminated. It also offers a solution for the issues related to long bus runs. This module provides passive and reliable termination for the LAN networks.
