Technical Information

The HE693CPU700 interface module is manufactured by Horner Electric. This interface module is made to support Ethernet connections and it works with the Horner and GE PLC I/O modules. It serves as the messenger between a processor and the I/O device, thus helping the device to detect errors, run status reports, and coordinate a timely data flow during communication processing. It weighs 1 pound or approximately 0.5 kilograms. This weight is convenient for installation, operation, and storage. The HE693CPU700 interface module features a voltage rating of 6 to 36 Volts DC, with a Power Over Ethernet (PoE) feature, and an automatic switch over the DC power supply. The fact that it is Ethernet 10/100 base TX enabled enhances its auto-negotiation and Auto MDIX functions with an RJ 45 connector. 

 

The HE693CPU700 interface module can sustain up to 100 Mbps of internet speed if only Ethernet signals and no other kind are allowed to pass through it. When the Tipping Point IP port is set up to the auto-negotiate link, the Ethernet port on the module automatically recognizes the MDI-Media Dependent Interface required to join with its link partner. The DB9 port on the module allows for an easier connection to the local gateway and there is an LED indicator to show the status of the device. It is possible to mount the HE693CPU700 interface module in a small DIN enclosure for protection. Web page configuration on this module is made more comfortable with Modbus TCP access data that can be connected to 16 servers simultaneously. By using the SignalFire Toolkit, it is possible to configure and diagnose the device remotely. The operating environment should have a temperature range between -40 and 85 degrees Celsius.
