  • Question: What is a Genius Network? Answer: Genius is a high-speed, token passing network, which is used in many industrial applications. The network supports up to 32 devices with baud rates of up to 153.6Kbaud. A wide variety of Geniusdevices exist, which can reside on the network ranging from intelligent I/O blocks to more sophisticated communications devices such as personal computers.
  • Question: How many devices can be connected to a Genius Network? Answer: Up to 32 devices are wired in a daisy-chained fashion in a Genius network.
  • Question: What is needed for configuration? Answer: Configuration of Series 90-70 PLC system requires the use of Logicmaster 90-70, the personal computersoftware package used for ladder logic programming and system setup. Configuration of the Geniusdevices residing on the LAN with Logicmaster 90-70 cannot be accomplished until the Genius BusController (GBC) is configured.
