Reasons Why Modbus TCP Client Does Not Work for 90-30 CPU374

Description:

Common items to check before implementing Modbus TCP Client for 90-30 CPU374

: Ensure CPU374 firmware is at 12.10 or later. Release 12.10 firmware added support for Modbus TCP Client.

Proficy Machine Edition used to configure the PLC must be at version 5.60 SIM9 or later.

Common Problem:

" Upgraded CPU374 firmware to 12.10 (or later) and have updated

Machine Edition to 5.60 SIM9 (or later), but Modbus TCP Client still does not work. Why? "

If the PLC project was created with a version prior to 5.60 SIM9, the CPU374 in the hardware configuration

must be replaced and added in again as it won't have the "Modbus TCP Address Map" tab in the configuration parameters.;

Restoring a project (created before 5.60 SIM9) in 5.60 SIM9 or later won't enable the Modbus TCP Map tab,

the module must be replaced and added in again by right clicking on the CPU module and choosing "Replace Module" and selecting IC693CPU374.

See attached which shows how the CPU374 configuration appears in a project created before 5.60 SIM9 and one created with 5.60 SIM9 or later.

Series 90-30 WEB Enabled CPU374 Plu
