Product Description

IC694ALG220 is a 4–Channel Analog Voltage Input Module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It provides four analog input channels and accepts inputs in the range of -10 to +10 volts. Individual channels can be used with 4 to 20 mA inputs by jumpering the input terminals. Conversion speed for each channel is one millisecond providing an update rate of four milliseconds for any channel. This module can be installed in any I/O slot of an RX3i PLC system.

If the IC694ALG220 is located in an RX3i Universal Backplane, an external source of Isolated +24 VDC is needed to provide power for the module. The external source must be connected by way of the TB1 connector on the backplane’s left side. If this module is located in an Expansion Backplane, the power supply provides the Isolated +24 VDC output required. When the power supply is operating as expected, the Module OK LED will show ON.

All field connections to the module should be wired using a suitable grade of twisted, shielded instrumentation cable. This will minimize capacitive loading and noise. The shields can connect to either COM or GND. The COM connection provides access to the common of the analog circuitry. The GND connection provides access to the backplane (frame ground). Additionally, the (-) side of the voltage source can be tied to the COM terminal if the source is floating to limit common-mode voltages.
