Technical Information

The GE Fanuc IC670TBM002 auxiliary terminal block is an I/O terminal block assembly with box-style terminals for the Genius Field Control distributed I/O and control system. The GE Fanuc Field Control System features compact, modular, and cost-effective control solutions that can be employed in a wide range of control system architectures. A standard Field Control system consists of a Bus interface unit capable of I/O scanning, diagnostics, and communications, as many as 8 Genius Field Control I/O modules, and an I/O terminal block which all provide a universal wiring terminal base for up to 2 I/O modules. The IC670TBM002 auxiliary terminal block provides an extra wiring base for analog and high-density discrete I/O modules. It also provides an extra ground, return, or common connection for analog and discrete I/O modules.

 

The IC670TBM002 auxiliary terminal block has a pair of separated module terminals and all the terminal wirings are connected internally to save wiring time and reduce costs. Each IC670TBM002 pair has a panel mounting foot that helps facilitate mounting on a DIN rail. It comes with box-type terminals which provide a connection to only a single wire at a time. The IC670TBM002 is installed on a DIN rail, and it is recommended the I/O terminal block be attached to the auxiliary terminal block first before mounting it on the DIN rail. To install the IC670TBM002 auxiliary terminal block, first, install the I/O terminal block on the DIN rail, and then slide the auxiliary block tab into the corresponding I/O terminal block slot. It is also recommended that the users push firmly until the auxiliary terminal block fits perfectly on the I/O terminal block.
