The IC670MDL330 module is a discrete output module manufactured by GE Fanuc. It belongs to the GE Field Control product line, and it has 1 group of 16 separate outputs. This module runs on a voltage rating of 12 to 120 Volts AC, a current of 1.0 Amp per point, and 47 to 63 Hertz frequency that is supplied by the Bus Interface Unit’s power source. An external AC power supply powers the other loads of this module. The output voltage range of the IC670MDL330 module is 10 to 132 Volts AC. It comes with logic-side LED indicators that show the on and off statuses of every output point. Additionally, the module has an isolation rating of 1500 Volts AC for 1 minute and 250 Volts AC continuous. The output characteristics of this output module include a maximum inrush current of 10 Amps for each cycle of 20 microseconds, a minimum load current of 10 milliamps per point from 10 to 132 Volts AC, and an output voltage drop of 2 Volts maximum.

 

The intelligent processing of the GE Fanuc Field Control  IC670MDL330 output module is executed either by the Bus Interface Unit (BIU) or elsewhere within the PLC system. The process involves the configuration of various features like the fault reporting feature and the output default settings. It comes with a discrete output data rated of 16 bits or 2 bytes, and the BIU is essential for obtaining the output data from the local or host processor. The individual logic LED indicators found on the transparent section on top side of the IC670MDL330 module are used to show the on and off status of every output point.
