Technical Information

The idra-6t light is a smart light manufactured by DVT Cognex for dedicated illumination. It is a standard LED strobe light and it is ready to use a lighting system when it ships. It can be mounted by using 4 threaded holes on the bottom. It is equipped with a 4-pin male connector for power-in ports and a 5-pin female connector for power-out ports on the bottom. An LED indicator is included that shows the operating state of the light. The light is bright and has a higher depth of field than other strobe lights. The idra-6t smart light is used as an optional module to the image sensor camera by Cognex. The DVT Cognex sensors are used in industrial automation systems for measurement, inspection, and code reading applications. It is compatible with the 500 series of sensors that includes the Legend 520, Legend 530, and Legend 540 product lines. All of these 500 series sensors come with the Framework software. Using the Framework software, the vision sensor can be configured and programmed easily. 

 

The Cognex idra-6t smart light module is CE certified and it meets both environmental and industrial standards. The idra-6t smart light is an LED light module that requires an additional 30 Watts of power for certain applications with a sensor camera. The sensor camera alone needs an isolated power supply of 24 Volts DC and a current rating of 1.25 Amps. The maximum environmental temperature around the light should not exceed 50 degrees Celsius for normal operation. The light can be used for outdoor applications too. The idra-6t smart light is small in size and it takes up minimal space in installation. The connector pinout setting is listed on the light module itself. The blue setting is for the ground, and the black setting is for the signal.
