Technical Information

The SR-6RU84 camera is a smart reader camera from the Cognex family. It comes with an 8-millimeter F 4.0 lens. This smart reader camera is CE certified and it can be used for outdoor applications. It is able to read 1D, 2D, and OCR codes easily. There are LED indicators that illuminate for “Ready,” “Trigger,” “Pass,” and “Fail” conditions. The bottom of the reader camera has an Ethernet communication option in the form of an RJ 45 port and an RS 232 port. An additional 15-pin D-type connector is included along with the networking ports. The bottom part also has 4 threaded M4 holes that are used to mount the smart reader camera. The SR-6RU84 smart reader camera comes in a yellow housing with company labels on the side. This reader camera weighs 170 grams. The operating temperature range for the reader camera should be set between 0 and 45 degrees Celsius.

 

The SR-6RU84 smart reader camera comes with the Datalink software that is used to send data out from the system and to receive commands from other devices. It also supports Modbus transfers that are an effective means of sharing data among smart image sensors. This process uses a number of registers from one system and copies them to another system. The camera runs with a power supply of 24 Volts DC and a current rating of 210 milliamps. It requires an additional 30 Watts of power when an LED array light is used. The SR-6RU84 smart reader camera has an image sensor with dimensions of 4.8 x 3.6 millimeters. The sensor has a resolution of 640 x 480 resolution. It has electronic shuttering time between 10 us and 1 second.
