The Allen-Bradley 1746-ITV16 is an SLC 500 DC Digital Input Module that has 16 inputs with 16 points per common. This type of input module is a fast response DC sourcing input module. Its backplane load requirement at 5V DC is 0.085A. The 1746-ITV16 operates at a voltage range of 10-30V. During off-state, voltage is 5V DC and the maximum current is 1.5mA. Nominal current input stands at 8mA at 24V DC and dissipates current at 3.6W maximum. The 1746-ITV16 has a signal delay of 0.5 ms during off-state and 0.3 ms during on-state. Troubleshoot easily with the LED indicators displaying the status of the module’s input.
The 1746-ITV16 is compatible with the 1746-SIM simulator. This simulates inputs to the SLC 500 using 16 switches. The 1746-ITV16 is also great for time-critical applications since its operation is rapid. It functions to receive analog data, convert it to digital format, and store it within the data image table. All other fixed and modular SLC 500 processors that are connected to it are thus able to retrieve the data.
The removable terminal blocks in the 1746-ITV16 allow the user to avoid rewiring when replacing the module. You can connect up to eight separate actuators or sensors to the 1746-ITV16 for a variety of applications. The optical coupling, along with filter circuitry that is present, help to minimize signal noise. Accessibility is facilitated by Ladder Programming Logic. The 1746-ITV16 operates at 0-60 degrees Celsius (32-140 degrees Fahrenheit) at relative noncondensing humidity ranging from 5-95%.
