The Allen-Bradley PLC-5-40C is a 1785 series PLC-5 Programmable Logic Controller. This is a 1785 series PLC-5 model with ControlNet. Potential users can find this part referred to as the 1785-L40C15 module in catalogs. The PLC-5-40C includes an embedded network connection which enables the users to connect it in a cost-effective manner to a wide range of devices. This specific module needs to be configured just once and this feature eliminates the need for block transfer programming. The device should be installed in the left-most slot in 1771 I/O chassis. For their PLC-5 system to work properly users will need to acquire a power supply and I/O modules too.
