The 1756-OV32E is a ControlLogix electronically fused sinking output module manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It has ratings of 12 to 24 Volts DC sink voltage, 10 to 30 Volts DC operating voltage, 5 to 8 Amps of current per group at 50 degrees Celsius, 390 milliamps of current draw at 5.1 Volts, 2.04 watts of backplane power, 20.1 BTU/hour of thermal dissipation, 2 milliamps of current draw at 24 Volts , 75 microseconds to 200 microseconds of OFF to ON maximum output delay time and 230 microseconds to 1 milliseconds of ON to OFF maximum output delay time. It features 32 electronically fused outputs to protect the module against overcurrent and it is ideal for communicating between controllers and other devices in a ControlLogix system.
The 1756-OV32E ControlLogix output module provides On/Off acuation and detection, and is suitable for driving a wide variety of output devices including solenoids, motor starters, indicators, and other output devices that do not need more than 1 bit to operate. It features status indicators that display communication data, I/O data, and module health status, and it allows direct and rack-optimized connections. Like with all Allen-Bradley ControlLogix Modules, the producer/consumer method can be used by the 1756-OV32E module to output information within the system. A Logix5000 controller meets the control requirements of the 1756-OV32E output module from which it receives output commands and then multicasts these commands to output devices on its network. For best performance, the operating temperature of the 1756-OV32E module must be kept within the range of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and its power rating must be maintained at all times during installation and operation.
