The 1756-L75 is a processor module manufactured by Allen Bradley under the 1756 ControlLogix Series The unit offers scalability when it comes to use of controller solutions. It is capable of addressing various I/O points and the module can be placed on any slot of ControlLogix I/O Chassis. In addition, it supports the installation of multiple controllers on same chassis. The 1756-L75 has the ability of monitoring and controlling the I/O across ControlLogix backplane and also over network links. It comes with an embedded Ethernet Port and hence has the support of a direct connection to the Ethernet enabled devices. The module also supports various communication interface modules on the local chassis. It is recommended that you install appropriate communication interface modules into the local Chassis to provide a suitable communication for the module. It comes with a conformal coating that offers a protection layer. This is against effects from contaminants, humidity and corrosive environment. The unit features 32 tasks and each has a capability of up to 100 programs. In addition, it has an event task that acts as all event triggers.
The 1756-L75 comes with a user memory of 32 Megabytes and supports Maximum digital I-O of 128,000. The maximum Analog I-O is 4,000.
