The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16I is a ControlLogix Analog I/O Module with 16 inputs. It is compatible with the ControlLogix PLC systems. The 1756-IA16I has 16 individually isolated inputs that belong to 120 Volts AC, 50 to 60 Hertz power category. The user-selectable filter time ranges from 0 to 18 milliseconds. This ControlLogix Bulletin 1756 device multicasts fault and status data to any PLC controller. It accomplishes this over a module-fault word. The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16I analog I/O module has a 32-bit module-fault word. Note that this is a 16 I/O module and only the first 16 bits are used in the module-fault word. The 1756-IA16I returns to the PLC only the general fault and input data.
The input current for this module is 5 mA at 79 Volts AC and 15 mA at 132 Volts AC. Wire connections to this device are established over the 1756-TBCH or 1756-TBS6H RTBs. With this item, a jumper bar is usually shipped to assist users in module proper installation. The bar is cut to the length that users need for their applications. Users can purchase additional jumper bars with the order code 1756-JMPR. The Allen-Bradley 1756-IA16I should be installed in control cabinets that maintain air temperature in the 0 to 60 degrees Celsius (32 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit) range. With an open-style type of enclosure, this item can be efficiently cooled with a simple fan, but users must protect it mechanically because this device is not resistant to dust, water, or condensing.
